Thank you for your interest in signing up to one of our Music Centres:

Our Music Centres are based at:

Arts and Media School Islington (AMSI) - Monday: Introduction to Music (Years 2-3) OR Instrumental Course (Year 4+)

COLA Highbury Grove School (COLA-HG) - Wednesday: Introduction to Music (Years 2-3) OR Instrumental Course (Year 4+)

Elizabeth Garrett Anderson School (EGA) - Monday: Jazz, Funk, Fusion, Afrobeat, Experimental and Beyond Band Practice Course (Ages 12-19)

Once you have signed up for 2024 - 25, your contract will continue until you cancel. The Music Centres run for 10 weeks per term, 3 terms per year. Our cancellation policy is as follows, and can be found at the bottom of this form and will be emailed to you.

Once students are signed up for the 2024-25 academic year, they will not need to sign up again. You can cancel any provision by giving half a term’s notice in writing to musiceducation.islington@gsmd.ac.uk. It is only possible to stop at the end of a full term (not half term). If you have more than one child, you will need to complete one form for each child.

Deadlines to give notice:

· - Friday 25 October 2024 to stop attending from the end of the Autumn Term.

· - Friday 21 February 2025 to stop attending from the end of the Spring Term.

· - Friday 30 May 2025 to stop attending from the end of the Summer Term (i.e. to not continue for the next academic year).

If you have paid in advance, you will be reimbursed for sessions after the half term notice period. This policy applies to all Music Centre courses and individual lessons.

All information will be treated confidentially and is subject to the requirements of the General Data Protection Regulations (2018).

Music Centre schools are Islington schools that have an agreement with MEI to establish a subsidised fee for their students who attend. All student administration and supervision, and communication with parents is managed through the school.

Communicative/Promotional Materials

At times, Music Education Islington may take videos and photographs of your child while at rehearsals or performances. These images may be used for promotion of MEI and its activities. I give permission for my child's image to be used by MEI for promotional materials in the ways listed below:

In order to change, adapt and improve our provision, we are keen to evaluate all our projects and activities on a regular basis. This evaluation may involve your child completed in a survey and being part of a discussion group and we will ask them about their experiences at the Music Centre. The evaluation would be completed during the course of the Music Centre and will involve no additional commitment on their part. Their data would remain anonymous.

Cancellation Policy

I understand that if I wish for my child to stop attending the Music Centre, notice must be given in writing to Music Education Islington no later than the half term break for attendance to be discontinued at the end of that term. I understand that it is not possible to discontinue studies at any other time during the year. If notice is given any later, attendance will be continued for the whole of the following term.
